FD&C Yellow No 5 is a high active dye Certified at min 90% dye loaded.
FD&C Red No 40 is high active dye, Certified at min 90% total dye load.
FD&C BLUE No 1 is a highly loaded dye Certified at min 90% total dye load.
All the dyes are very concentrated and give vibrant colors to products. All are Batch certified and approved for use in Food, Drugs & Cosmetics , in amounts consistent with current Good Manufacturing Practice. In Drugs & Cosmetics uses the Colorants are approved for use including those intended for use in the area of the eye.
In Cosmetics, the color additive can not not be exposed to oxidizing or reducing agents or any other conditions which may affect the integrity of the color.
When making bath bombs, bubble bars or bath salts, we suggest using a surfactant such as polysorbate 80 in your liquids stage at a typical rate of 1-2%.

DIRECTIONS: Powder disperses best in oil and oil based products. For dry products, add the needed amount of the colorant powder to the dry ingredients. Incorporate color to formula by adding very small amounts at a time. The colorant can also be used in water based products, by first being dissolved in liquid USP / food grade glycerin.

Solubility: Insoluble. Dispersible in oil. Try dispersing in glycerin for products used in water systems.
Storage: Keep product away from humidity, in room temperature and in an airtight container always.
Shelf Life: Indefinite if stored properly in a sealed airtight container.
Our Dyes are very concentrated - a little goes a LONG WAY. To protect hands, use latex or nitrile gloves. Protect the surfaces you are working on, as these colors are very concentrated and will stain counter tops, wood, clothing.
Using too much dye may cause staining while manufacturing and when final product is used.
