Our Cedar Wood oil is derived from the foliage, wood and roots of the cedar wood tree, Juniperus Mexicana. Has a characteristic woody odor, and is usually darker in color. This oil can be used for its aromatic properties as well as an additive to things such as insect repellents, candles and room sprays. reported to be used to battle acne and greasy hair, and to promote better sleep.

Has warming, uplifting, and toning properties. Cedarwood Essential Oil is considered to be comforting, reviving and an aphrodisiac.

A powerful antiseptic, fungicidal and anti-seborrheic, Cedarwood Essential Oil has been used to help with dandruff, hair loss and oily hair.

The oil can be found in all kinds of personal care preparations and formulations. 

Because the oil contains 20% Cedrol, contents within in Cedarwood Essential Oil may crystallize over time in extremely cold temperatures. Heating the oil may help to liquefy the Cedrol.

The oil is considered non-toxic but may irritate sensitive skin.

We ship the oil in an amber glass; please do not transfer the oil into a plastic vial once received. Essential oils will often corrode plastic overtime. To prolong the oil, keep the oil in a cool, dry place, away from the sun.

We do not recommend sniffing the oil directly from the bottle, as the high concentration of the oil may inhibit the genuine experience of the aroma. Lightly inhale the oil after dilution, or by adding a drop or so to a paper tissue or napkin.
