ChemConx BTMS 50
ChemConx BTMS 50, Behentrimonium Methosulfate 50, is a natural vegetable based, high active (50%) cationic conditioner and emulsifier. It offers the formulator efficient cationic conditioning with emulsifying properties for hair and skin formulations. The BTMS 50 is a vegetable based viscosity increaser and emulsion stabilizer. BTMS 50 is recommended for use in lotions, scrubs, creams hair conditioners, detanglers, deep conditioning relaxers, and many other popular personal care products.
Our ChemConx BTMS 50 is both a mild primary emulsifier and an effective conditioning agent, which provides elegant cationic emulsions for both skin and hair care products. The BTMS 50 has a high percentage of cationic conditioning agents, the highest level, making it effective for use in a wide variety of skin and hair care products. In hair care, it is very popular in leave-on conditioners, as well as more traditional rinse off hair care products.
Vegetable based. Behentrimonium Methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium salt derived from the natural plant oil Colza, commonly known as Rapeseed Oil.

This is the second time I have ordered this product. I use it in lotion, shampoo and conditioner bars. I find it to be a wonderful conditioning agent in all of those products and will order again when I run out. Just a word of warning to first time buyers; when you open the bag and while it is melting, it has a strange fishy smell (which is odd since it is plant based). Don't worry though, it does not remain in the finished product. I only mention it because the first time I used it I thought there was something wrong with it and wished that someone had given me a heads-up. This is an excellent product, buy with confidence.

I wish the product wasn't so expensive,I know its a grest conditioning agent,but I have to charge a lot more for my shampoo bars when I use this product to makeup the cost of the BTMS-50
