Cobalt Blue Mica 

 

Our beautiful Cobalt Blue Colorant is a classic Blue shade that will transform any project in to a blue creative masterpiece. A striking classic blue that shimmers and shines!

Our Cobalt Blue is specially made and treated with mica flakes coated with  titanium dioxide, which causing the  beautiful blue to shine through with a striking  glossy silver sparkle.

Cobalt Blue Mica works well alone, or add it and blend to our other colorants   to get just the  shade you desire for your art, your soaps, paintings, nail colors and any number of object's de' art.

Properties: Imparts a beautiful rich blue, with shimmering and pearlizing luminescence. 

Use & Applications: Can be used alone or blended with other micas and pigments. Cobalt Blue Mica can be  used in all kinds of decorative type cosmetics,  and personal care products to add color, luster and pearlizing effects. 

FDA approved for: Eyes, face, nails, * Although Micas are approved for use in products for lips, the Ultramarine is NOT. Do not use in lip products.  

Use in soap: stable and non-bleeding. 

Typical Applications and starting amounts:

  • Bath Bombs .02 to 2.0 %
  • Hair Spray, Shampoo, Perfume 0.1-10.0% 
  • Body Lotions & Creams 1.0-5.0% 
  • Cold and Hot Process Soap making 1.0-5.0% 
  • Use in Melt and Pour Soaps Amount will vary. Begin with a pre-dissolved 1% and test
  • Blush & Foundation 2.0-10.0% 
  • Makeup Powders 5.0-10.0% 
  • Eyeshadow Pencils & Eyeliner Pens 2.0-15.0% 
  • Nail Polish 2.0-20.0% 
  • Eyeshadow 10.0-40.0%

    This color blue is beautiful!

    I used in melt & pour with an 8oz clear to 1oz white, 3 .15cc scoops (those really small ones) and the blue is sooo beautiful!! I'm going to use as shred embeds with other color shreds in a white soap base.
