Emerald Green Dye powder

A beautiful, vibrant deep Emerald Green Dye you'll love.

Deep green colorant approved for used in all types of applications.

Since it is a blend of already approved F D & C Blue No 1 Powder and F D & C Yellow No 5 Powder, this needs no other certifications or lot numbers.

A deep green colorant, highly concentrated dye blend for many uses and products. Popular in  cosmetics to art, to dying textiles like cotton and wool.

The raw powder, a blend, looks brown until it is in water. Completely water soluble, highly loaded.

Certified for use in certain Cosmetics , in amounts consistent with current Good Manufacturing Practices and all other standards set forth for this particular product.  Cosmetic Use - In Cosmetics, the color additive can not not be exposed to oxidizing or reducing agents or any other conditions which may affect the integrity of the color.
When making bath bombs, bubble bars or bath salts, or any product you'll be enjoying in the water in a tub or shower, we suggest using polysorbate 80 in your liquids stage at a typical rate of 1-2% to help prevent the color from adhering to tub surface. Always test!
Aluminum lakes are oil dispersible but not oil soluble or water soluble.
Authorized for use in cosmetics, nail polishes, melt and pour soaps, cold process soaps. It is also perfect for use in textiles - like dying wool. Experiment and use it in a variety of ways!
DIRECTIONS:  Emerald Green  is a highly concentrated blend, and is a fine dark greenish brown powder that disperses well in all types of water and / or oil and oil based products.  For dry products, add the needed amount of the colorant powder to the dry ingredients. Incorporate color to formula by adding very small amounts at a time.
Color: This colorant produces a beautiful vibrant green color in clear bases, but may cloud or become opaque in most clear bases. A pastel yellow color is achieved in white or off white bases with medium concentration.
Color Migration: When compared to FD & C Dyes, most of the  dyes are less likely to migrate between layers of melt and pour soap. If your soap or other product  has layers of colors, like layered soap, over use of the dye may  cause colored layers to migrate or “bleeding” between layers. Try different methods and experiment.
Physical Form: Dark Greenish Brown fine Powder
Solubility: Insoluble in water.  Dispersible in oil. Try dispersing in glycerin for products used in water systems.
Storage: Keep product away from humidity, in room temperature and in an airtight container always.
Shelf Life:  Indefinite if stored properly in a sealed airtight container.
This is a highly concentrated dye - 90% minimum. This will stain your hands and clothing and other materials in the concentrated powder.
Protect the surfaces you are working on, as these colors are very concentrated and will stain counter tops, wood, clothing.
Using too much dye may cause staining while manufacturing and when final product is used.
Always read Safety information. Test colors in your final product to insure optimal performance if you desire no staining.
It is suggested you keep a retained sample to ensure optimal long term quality and shelf life and for later comparisons
* This is a BLEND of certified dyes, and does NOT require batch numbers and batch certification.

This was offered at such a great price that I decided to try it out instead of blending my own green dye. A little goes a long way. Thanks.

This is the perfect GREEN. You can definitely vary the shade by using different concentrations but it makes a beautiful “grass green”
