Potassium Carbonate

Potassium Carbonate is prepared commercially mainly by electrolysis of potassium chloride to form potassium hydroxide, which is then carbonated (e.g., by adding carbon dioxide gas). Used in the manufacture of all types of soaps, aquaculture, hydroponics, used in glass, for washing wool, and in the production of other potassium compounds, and other businesses and hobbies. Great conditioner, cleaner and brightener.

Forms strongly alkaline water solution.
