Sodium Citrate, also known as trisodium citrate, Dihydrate has a wide variety of uses in industry, cleaning, and food.

It is a plant derived, natural water softener with cleaning properties too. Try it in your household cleaning, dishwasher formulation.

Sodium Citrate is an excellent choice over phosphates for environmental care PLUS it has good complexing properties. It is a non-toxic, readily biodegradable ingredient which does not promote the growth of algae like phosphates.

Trisodium citrate is able to sequester calcium and magnesium, but also iron and other metal ions, even at higher temperatures, which makes it an ideal additive for cleaning formulations.
